About the Community Research IRB
The Community Research Institutional Review Board (CRIRB) is one of three IRB committees at Michigan State University. Applications reviewed by the CRIRB generally encompass research projects that will be performed at two or more CRIRB partner institution sites. The CRIRB is registered to review projects regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
CRIRB Partner Institutions
The CRIRB reviews applications where two or more CRIRB partner institution sites are engaged in the human subject research. CRIRB partner institutions include:
- Allegiance Health
- Borgess Medical Center
- Bronson Healthcare
- Covenant Healthcare
- McLaren Health Care
- Michigan Department of Community Health
- Michigan Public Health Institute
- Owosso Memorial Health
- Sparrow Health System
The CRIRB typically meets the fourth Monday of every month. Check the calendar for deadlines and meeting dates.
CRIRB committee members include individuals who are affiliated and not affiliated with MSU and those affiliated with CRIRB partner institutions.
