ACCESS TO MSU IRB LEGACY ONLINE SYSTEM EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 1, 2019

November 25, 2018

Access Extended to February 1, 2019

As part of the Click™ Research Compliance System implementation, the Legacy MSU IRB Online System was replaced with Click and the MSU IRB Legacy Online System was planned to be taken offline on December 4, 2018. However, access to the MSU IRB Legacy System for researchers has been extended to February 1, 2019.

Projects in the expedited or full board review level that had current IRB approval as of November 22, 2017 were moved to Click with a partial data conversion (e.g. title, brief description, PI). Supporting documents for these projects were not uploaded into Click (e.g. instruments, IRB application forms). Closed expedited or full board review level projects that were closed as of November 22, 2017 and exemptions submitted in the MSU IRB Legacy Online System were not transferred to Click.

If you have any IRB records in the MSU IRB Legacy Online System that you need or want, such as approval letters, IRB application forms, consent form(s), protocol document(s), etc., please obtain those records as soon as possible. We strongly encourage researchers to start obtaining any documents now as the structure of the MSU IRB Legacy Online System does not permit researchers to download multiple files at a time.

Access After February 1, 2019

For studies subject to human subject protection regulations, the Legacy MSU IRB Online System did not contain all needed records for older studies and did not meet recordkeeping requirements (e.g. FDA). As such, we maintain a paper copy in accordance with recordkeeping requirements. We will also be maintaining back office access to the Legacy MSU IRB Online System within the HRPP office for some period of time after February 1, 2019.
