Research Volunteers

At Michigan State University (MSU), an Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews research studies that involve people before the research can start. These IRBs are part of the MSU Human Research Protection Program (HRPP).

  • questions or concerns about your role and rights as a research participant
  • to obtain information or offer input
  • to register a complaint about a specific study
  • more information on human research subject protections

Please note that because HRPP employees are working remotely, the office is not staffed for visitors. If you would like to speak with an HRPP staff member, please call the main HRPP phone number and leave a message.
