Michigan Laws

Currently, Michigan has no statute that broadly addresses human research. However, both the Michigan Mental Health Code and the Michigan Public Health Code reference the protection of humans in research in specific contexts and the State Constitution includes a provision for human embryo or embryonic stem cell research. Research Outside Michigan

If research is conducted outside of Michigan, either in another state or internationally, investigators are responsible for complying with any laws relevant to their research activity
